Welcome to the official site of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII).

Here you’ll learn about the more than 30 non-profit educational events we sponsor each year and find links to other investing web pages. All of this is provided by local volunteers in an effort to help you learn to be a wiser, more profitable investor. Membership in AAII is not required to attend our meetings.

AAII (the National Headquarters) is an independent non-profit educational organization, based in Chicago, with over 150,000 members. For more information about AAII, click here to go to the American Association of Individual Investors Website.

Each AAII local chapter is a grassroots organizations led by volunteer AAII members, allowing AAII to extend its mission to individual investors in their own communities by organizing meetings to provide unbiased investment education in a social context.

Additional meetings per the announcement

Chapter meetings are held from 8:30 a.m. – noon on the third Saturday of every month except for August and December.

Special Interest Groups meet 6 – 12 times per year at varied times.

Fees for Chapter meetings include choice of:

  • Annual pre-paid fee of $140 for 10 meetings
  • Advanced monthly reservation fee of $15
  • At-the-door monthly fee of $18
Fees for Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings are typically $5 to &10 per person.

There is FREE, inside parking at the Skirball Center.
Parking in Culver City is also FREE.

Typically two investment experts with PowerPoint visuals, each on a different topic.

Chapter: Usually about 150, up to 300, men and women seeking to improve their financial management and understanding of the markets.

SIGs: About 15 to 60, allowing greater interaction and more specialized topics.

Yes, each presenter may have one or more handouts to aid in your understanding of the material.

Absolutely, interaction with the presenters and other attendees is a vital benefit of the meetings.
