Compelling Themes In Biotech Today. Plus, What Are This Year’s Most Important Stories So Far by the Wall Street Journal?

The year 2026 has been truly significant for investors. U.S. stock markets have notched new highs. Yet job growth remains quite subdued and inflation continues to rise at a faster rate than U.S. GDP. Consumers are very grumpy. Oil prices have rocketed as the war in the Middle East continues to weigh on public sentiment. Plus, November’s U.S. midterm elections only add to general uncertainty. However, entrepreneurship and innovation in fields including biotechnology, AI and energy infrastructure offer reasons for investors to stay optimistic for the future. AAII Los Angeles’ first-ever talk led by a pair of veteran journalists address these themes with the use of sober facts, unbiased analysis and a cold, hard look at companies’ fundamentals and relative strength in the stock market.

This panel session is co-presented by David Saito-Chung.

Attend this talk and learn…
  • What are the key themes and investment opportunities in the biotech industry.
  • Additional stock ideas based on business, earnings and government policy trends
