James Paulsen is a PhD trained economist. Jim has been an investment industry professional since 1983. He recently retired as chief investment strategist for the Leuthold group, and prior to that he served as chief investment strategist at Wells Capital Management where he worked for 20 years. He is an avid speaker and writer on the economy and the markets and frequently appears on CNBC and Bloomberg TV. He earned a bachelor’s degree and a doctoral degree in economics from Iowa State University. His current thinking on the economy and the markets can be found at Paulsenperspectives.Substack.com

Mebane Faber is the author of several books, including “The Ivy Portfolio” with Eric Richardson (Wiley, 2009), “Global Asset Allocation” (2015) and, most recently, “Invest With the House” (2016). He writes the MebFaber.com blog and The Idea Farm newsletter, and he has been featured in The New York Times, Barron’s, The New Yorker and dozens of other forums. As chief investment officer of Cambria Investment Management, he runs Cambria’s exchange-traded funds (ETFs), separate accounts and hedge funds. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a double major in engineering science and biology.
